Our office is equipped to help you and your family plan your next foreign vacation or trip. Depending on where you are going, you may need vaccinations prior to your trip or even medications to prevent malaria. It is advised to be seen at least 6 weeks prior to leaving so that all the recommended vaccines can be administered and you can start taking the medications to prevent malaria (usually 2 weeks prior to leaving through 4 weeks after returning). We offer most all vaccines required for foreign travel except Yellow Fever (this requires a special license and is best to get at the health department).
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has a great website to look up the country you are traveling to. It will give you information on the necessary as well as the recommended vaccines and if malaria medications are warranted. They also regularly post travel advisories. Their web site is:
