Breastfeeding & Newborn Nutrition
Babies only need either breast milk or infant formula as their only source of nutrition and fluids until 4 months of age when they can start eating cereals. Babies do not need any water, rice cereal, or any other beverage or food before 4 months of age unless specifically recommended by your doctor.
We encourage all our new mothers to breastfeed their babies. If you are having trouble or need any advice, please call our office to speak with one of us.
Additionally, we recommend a lactation specialist, who can further help you have the best success in breast-feeding.
